Have a query about advance purchase of general class ticket.
Some days back I had to travel in this train. 2 days before DOJ, I went to Bharuch station to get an advance general class ticket for this train. The clerk told me that she would issue the ticket but such tickets, once booked cannot be cancelled. Is this rule correct?

Yes, there was a press notification in this regard. While starting this advance issue of unreserved tickets you can collect tickets to any destination of the same zone and no distance restriction.You can get tickets for the travel of ANY station to ANY OTHER station. But now only AT and FROM originating station to other stations above 200kms away that too WITHOUT cancellation provisions
