I traveled from SBC to ERS by 16315 Exp on 23/05/2014.... I had a RAC ticket.... But the seats were vacant...People with open ticket (unreserved) traveling in reserved compartment...... There were no TTE to check the tickets.... there were lot of other passengers with wait listed tickets too...How is that the when we try to book tickets we do not get them or it is wait listed..But when we board train the coaches are empty...I have notices this more than once in recent times
from SBC to TPT , many office goers use this train with season tickets and being shortage of TTE's in all zones , it is difficult to check all coaches and hence it is easy for them to travel without proper tickets...regarding vacant seats , it will be filled up before SA or ED...as this train is full on all days....
The seats can be filled only if a TTE comes to check the ticket,,, I travelled till EKM but I never saw one.... The issue is same on this train when one of my colleague traveled till EKM 2 days back.. even he was traveling on an RAC ticket and the seats were vacant..... The nuisance of the season ticket holders is such that we cannot board reserved compartments from BNC, KJM etc.... especially the compartments which are adjacent to unreserved compartments... leave alone vacating the reserved ticket to the ticket holder,,,,
