Govt. Of India, New Delhi
Sub. Regarding Laying of Railway Track from Patiala To Karnal/Panipat Via KAITHAL.
Respected Sir, We the citizen of Kaithal & surrounding area wish to draw your kind attention to the following facts with regards to the subject cited above.
1. Kaithal Karnal Panipat & Patiala are prominent tows of Northern Region of the country in terms of industry & business. It is the middle line of agriculture belt of Haryana & Punjab, which is called the bowl of Rice & wheat in the Union of INDIA & International Map.
2. These towns fall in a straight line so for as the road link in concerned covering a vast rural area & also measure a lesser distance from Patiala to Karnal only 130 km & Panipat only 150 km.
3. At present the Rail link between these towns is either via Ambala or Kurukshetra which is comparatively a long distance.
4. If Patiala connected to Karnal via Kaithal it will benefit the people of the area in many ways, It will be a facility to the people of the area & will earn a good revenue to the Railway. At present the people depends only on Road Traffic.
I) It will shorten the distance to Delhi from Patiala & Kaithal by Rail.
II) It will boost the business & rural economy of the area.
III) It will make the travelling easier and more convenient for the general public.
IV) It will reduce the heavy load on road traffic.
V) It will also bring other Grain/business markets like Nissing, Pundri, Cheeka & Rajound, Matlauda, safidow, Assandh on Railway map & Kaithal on main line.
VI) The laying of the said track will also go a long way in reducing the rush of Passenger Trains/ Goods Train on Ludhiana- Sirhind-Ambala-Delhi route. As the traffic can be diverted via Ludhiana-Patiala-Kaithal-Karnal-Delhi route.
5. Presently Kaithal is on the branch line & is linked to Delhi by Rail only through Kurukshetra & Narwana with a single passenger train, but no direct fast Train is available on these routes. Which is of no use to the public of area & as such there is heavy rush/load on road traffic between Patiala-Kaithal-karnal-delhi.
6. Laying down of the said Railway Track will help reducing the cost of Transportation & lesser the
Financial burden on the national exchequer.
7. It is a long standing demand of the people of Kaithal & the surrounding areas, Which has been neglected ever since the Independence of India.
8. The people of the area are facing great inconvenience in the absence of said track.
Hon’ble Sir, we have high hopes from a dynamic & far sighted leader like you, who has always been fighting for the cause of the common people. We are sure that you will not disappoint us this time. Your contribution in this regards will always be remember in the history of the region by generation to come.
It is further requested that as the proposal for laying new track may take time to mature , thousands of people travel daily in between Delhi-Kaithal by road or by Passenger Train , A fast train from Delhi-Kaithal –Delhi can help the people of the area to travel. Which be please provide immediately as intrim relief, for which no extra funds are required. The track is already fit for.
With regards
