There are no new projects to Kolhapur Miraj.
It is high time people from this region t o come together and raise their demands.
There should be a new division at Miraj because Pune and Solapur divisions are not bothered about this region

yes right 178 kms! i was expectinng kop-hyd, kop-ngp and ngp-mao via PVR in budget.anyways at least one is declared.gr8
i was hoping that this would be a faster train than Maharashtra as it has almost 200 km less to travel.But i guess about 80% of its travel is on single track And i guess the train as a bunch of change in directions. Just to list them
1) Miraj 2) latur road 3) Parli vaijanath 4)Akola.
Maharashta on the other hand has about 50% of its journey on double track 3 direction changes (Pune, Daund and MMR). But has a lot more stops.

MRJ-PVR section is just opened for pass traffic so there would be speed restrictions. This particular train is very important which will connect undeveloped region of western maharashtra and Marathwada. This will connect places of religious importance like Kolhapur, Pandharpur, Parli Vaijnath and Akola (Shegaon)! Hingoli/Washim people hv been demanding more trains on converted Akola Purna section so there demand is also partially fulfilled.
