HAREESHMANGALAM~ 4442 blog postsFelt sad that a train who has been serving IR for over 50 years, the legendary Island Express, is never given its due, be it by SR or SWR. Though SWR has provided some new SL coaches, it is never given priority that it deserves, be in allotting priority timings or platforms. SR on the other hand, detains this train for every trains that comes on its way or even behind it (like 12082) or selects this train to provide stoppages at all the stations en route

Even between ers and tcr it is most used by daily passengers. There is a passenger express, but still this is made to run like passenger.
highly untolarable--- and a mess yaar, they want Dhanbad express which plies mainly to cater needs of long route travellers to accomodate daily travellers.. whats wrong with ERS manager.........
Guess ERS SM forgot that an express called Ernad actually exist -_-
He was probably referring to the fact that after Kozhikode-TVC Janshatabdi exp, there was no train to TVC till night 11 pm and this train could probably fill the gap in between for passengers who want to go back from work
Ernad cud be speeded up in such a way that overtake by the JS cud b avoided..... Island exp shud b speeded up by min 1.30 hrs.
