Is there any provision to change gender in a tatkal booked e-ticket? I have to travel with spouse on 26th by train No.11013 from Gulbarga to CBE in 3 AC. Gender of my spouse mistakenly put as male in hurry-burry. Nearest station authorities say there exists no such rule and advised to travel with valid id proof of wife.
No such rule i think. Only way out is, to just pray n hope that tte does not reject the original id n understand ur problem or play some tricks like avoiding exposure of ur wife to tte while he is on check.
If you both are traveling carry original ID cards of both,if TTE asks mention him about the mistake,hopefully shall accept it.
please go to a PRS counter and try to change the Gender. I was fined by TTEs of NR while i was traveling from NDLS to PGT for the same mistake. TT fined me the full amount of tatkal ticket and an additional 250 Rs. So please check with PRS counter for the cahnge
U can try to get the tkt transferred to her, if u have an id which has somewhat different name on it but still u may be charged full fare as tatkal rules are different.
