Before the KR line was opened, this weekly and nteravathi Express followed the same route- after KR was opened, Netravathi shifted, while this train sharing slot with NCJ-CSTM 4 days a week Express continued in its old route only

Ys you are right,
Nethravati used to terminate at Cochin Harbour Terminus i suppose and you had this slip coaches attached at PGT which I think use to come from the Mangalore side or so....
PGT had its own golden days before the KR started. Now after the bifurcation
PGT has faded now,.......
PGT

Whn you are going from podanur to Coimbatore, the route which by passes Coimbatore will be on your right and it is a single line till Irugur and then join the main line.
I guess it is a 10 min journey with no stations in between.

This train is preferred by a lot of people from Palakkad,Coimbatore,Erode going to Pune. Also i have seen people boarding from Krishnarajapuram (Bangalore) for Pune,Solapur etc. In the 2-3 occasions that i have travelled i have found the occupancy to be high . Most of the train gets vacant in Pune but then you also have a equally good number of passenegrs from Pune taking this train to Mumbai. It reaches Pune on Sunday evening (4-4:30pm) and reaches Mumbai at 8:30pm or thereabouts.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
