TRAIN_SPOTTER's ARCHIVE - YESVANTPUR JUNCTION
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Well....the plan was to spend a good amount of time @ Goa and the 2nd part of my journey was supposed to commence from YPR.The trip to goa was an 'Anti - Climax' by all counts as we were greeted by the ever present 'Rain Gods' for our brief stay at Colva but as they say - 'Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining' so there were moments to cherish and irrespective of the nature of the destination.......sometimes it's the journey that ends up giving you priceless memories
...
to cherish when you look back.As you might be aware by now,i always run into issues pertaining to 'Dead Battery' so could not manage to take any snaps of SBC which i so much regret but boy!! was i glad to have a full battery @ my disposal to take a fair few snaps of YPR.I guess the weather at Bangalore was so superb with rains limiting itself to tiny droplets falling off at a slow pace while there was constant breeze to keep you away from the fatigue and exhaustion that most parts of the country were reeling under @ that time(it was during the 2nd week of July).Visiting SBC after a gap of 15+ years was indeed great.Now......without wasting any time.....lemme start off the session.
............................................................................................................................
Pic 1 - The Station Board at the South East end of Platform no.1,my first ever snap of YPR.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 2 - This Station Board image between Platform 2 and Platform 3 ridicules the one on Platform no.1.It's huge! One of the biggest Station Boards i have seen around in a while. The train on Platform 1 is 17212 Yeshwantpur - Machilipatnam [ Kondaveedu Express ] waiting for it's trip back home.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 3 - One more snap of the same SB from a different angle.Platform 1 on the far right,Platform 2 at the centre and Platform 3 at the left.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 4 - A KJM WDG3a brings 56225 [Bangalore - Tumkur Passenger] to Platform no.2.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 5 - An 'Open Air' tripshed?? Your guess is as good as mine. The list includes - Two (AJJ) homed WAM -4s ; One (AJJ) WAP - 1 and an unidentified WAG - 5(Barbie Doll) captured on the South Eastern side.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 6 - A wide angle shot from the South Eastern side of the station. The train on Platform 2 is the Tumkur bound 56225 [Bangalore - Tumkur] Passenger.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 7 - A view Of Platform 4 - 5 - 6 at the South Eastern end of the station.Notice the Metro line up top on the left side??
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 8 - Straight ahead are Platform 4 and Platform 5.The train on Platform 4 is my ride to Goa.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 9 - Divided by nature but united by 'Call of Duty'.KJM WDG3a and Erode WAP - 4 stacked together on platform 3.Can you guys guess the train behind them??? Answer would be coming up further down. :)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 10 - The name board says it all.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 11 - A full length view of an empty Platform 5 and Platform 6 from the South Eastern side.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 12 - 17309 [Yesvantpur - Vasco] on the right while one more shot covering Platform 5 and 6 on the left.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 13 - Disable friendly end of the F.o.B between Platform 4 and 5 with S7 coach of 17309 on the right.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 14 - 12258 [Kochuveli - Yesvantpur] Garib Rath being shunted from Platform 5.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 15 - So.....did any of you guys guess the train on Platform 3??? Well...it's 16565 [Yesvantpur - Mangalore Central] Express.A-1 and B-1 are the only 2 A.C coaches in this rake.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 16 - One more shot of 16565 with General Class coach in the frame.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 17 - Two trains in One shot.17309 and 16565.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 18 - An unidentified Passenger entering Platform 5 with KJM WDG3a as it's head.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 19 - One more shot of that unidentified Passenger,my guess is it's 06596 [Devanahalli - Yesvantpur] Passenger.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 20 - Namma KJM WDP - 4 with 17604 Kacheguda bound [ Yesvantpur - Kacheguda] Prashanti Nilayam Express on Platform 2
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 23 - A view of Northern end of YPR with Platform 4 - 5 and 6 with a KJM WDG3a on platform 5 ahead of an unidentified train.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 24 - AS OLD AS THE TREE(I guess). An Over head equipment inspection car resting at YPR outer.Don't know if it's in working condition.Coaching Depot at the background.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 25 - Coaching Depot at YPR outer.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 26 - You were supposed to be with us,weren't you???? A.C Two Tier coach of 17309 [Yesvantpur - Vasco] Express at the Coach Care Depot.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 27 - Looks like a brand new (Power Car) of Garib Rath.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 28 - A wide angle shot of YPR yard on the northern side.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 29 - A closer shot of the same. One can see the rake of 12258 [Kochuveli - Yesvantpur] Garib Rath in the middle.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 30 - A much more closer snap of 12258.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pic 31 - 16571 [Yesvantpur - Bidar] Express resting at YPR yard.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
