Due to Puja holidays ruah, I could not secure a booking from HWH-NDLS directly. Only 1 ticket in #12301 was left till GAYA for 1-Oct-14 Wed. So I purchased that, after I found that #12439 is to reach GAYA about 55 minutes after it. I got a CNF ticket in 12439 as well.
I understand the connection is a bit tight, and I have option to try Tatkal for direct HWH-NDLS ticket. My question is: is the time gap of 55 mins. too less considering that both are Rajdhani and would get preference in signals etc.?

12301 shd in normal course reach before 12439...except for exceptional circumstances,,..else book in some other train from hwh to gaya, where time gap is sufficient enough for comfort and then board 12439...u may or may not be able to hack tatkal option..who knows//
