correct ,, why railways unnecessarily wast their platform for long halts unless otherwise required??? as some body rightly told waiting for connecting train .same occurs for link express/dakshin express at kazipet ,, but normally less than 1 hour only

There is no need to go to the particular station to buy unreserved tickets. Unreserved tickets can be bought from any point to any point at any reservation counter. I have not tried this myself and the railway website has old information, try to experiment beforehand if you can. Check bit.ly/hwu3gj
