It is regular routine to see the mighty ECR's Titan Sampoorna Kranti placed in the group of the Crushing Beasts along with the Howrah Raj,Sealdah Raj,Patna and BBS Raj which daily gallop their baits in the form of Poorva Exp,Lichchavi Exp and Amrapali exp.
But it becomes an irony when anyone of these members is made the bait for the other member of the Crushing Beasts to gallop.
One such incident happened at Fatehpur,when the poor late running Sampoorna Kranti was made the bait for the raging and hungry Patna Rajdhani.The 12394 Sampoorna Kranti definitely enjoys a super run towards Patna which include some terrific overtakes which i have mentioned above,but the same class of run seems to be missing from 12393 Sampoorna Kranti,not only does it arrive late at NDLS,but also gets thrashed by Rajdhani's if the delay becomes huge.While i was always eager to catch the video of Sampoorna Kranti getting thrashed by Rajdhani,little did i know that my wish will be fulfilled so quickly.
Now on the last leg of our Fatehpur trip,Me and Jolly were now gearing for the last night action which included the NDLS Bound Rajdhani's which was followed by the 12260 Sealdah Duronto and 12276 Allahabad Duronto.First on the list of our night capture was the fierce 12309 Patna Rajdhani,it was at 12:30 am that me and Jolly returned to the hotel after capturing the MGS bound Rajdhani's action and decided to rest before heading out to the station only to return at 5am in the morning.
After freshening up i decided to take a light nap while Jolly closely monitored the movement of the 12309 Patna Rajdhani.Seeing that the Rajdhani was miles away even Jolly decided to rest before the real adventure began.
At 1:10 am,jolly woke up and checked the whereabouts of the Patna Raj and it was through the NTES that we came to know that the Rajdhani was good 45 kms away from Fatehpur.Now after this update we both knew we have less time in hand so we quickly packed up our bags,locked our room and gushed towards the station as fast as we can.During our brisk walk towards the station,we heard a roaring EOG's noise..confused on what could it possibly be we both raised our speed to reach the station ASAP to find out about this surprise..Our growing curiosity raised our adrenaline levels as well our walking speed and we were at the station's flyover end i no time.
While we were crossing the barricade and as we took the loop line to reach the platform we noticed a LHB Rajdhani train getting looped on the UP line towards NDLS. Seeing this sight started the game of guesses..now we both started guessing which possible train it could be and it was after constant analysis that we concluded it to be Poorva exp which was running late that day.Thinking it to be Poorva Exp we coolly headed towards the other platform as the main platform had already been occupied by the looped train but it was when we saw the destination board that we got a huge shock.As the destination board read "Sampoorna Kranti"..me and jolly both were left bamboozled.The look on our faces was exactly the same which one can see on a batsman's face who got his stumps knocked out by either Murlidharan's doosra or Warne's googly.
Seriously we had never imagined that we can see that moment when one ECR's Titan thrashes another.While we were just sulking this amazing sight that the starters on the mainline turned green one by one indicating that the hurricane was on it's way.
Knowing that the arriving thunder will be the 12309 Patna Rajdhani me and jolly rushed under the neon lights of the platform 4 and started our patient wait for the ECR King.It was at 1:25 am that the starter turned green and after a patient wait of over 13 minutes we finally saw a huge beam of light approaching ferociously from the East end of the station.It was when te lights grew bigger that i started recording such a rare sight.
Making it's way from Patna like a trace of bullet,the fierce 12309 RJPB-NDLS Patna Rajdhani led by the GZB's mighty WAP-7#30208 announced it's arrival with some terrific honking which sadly got suppressed under the roaring EOG's of the stable Sampoorna Kranti and then dashed past Fatehpur and the same time mercilessly crushed the 12393 Sampoorna Kranti at full MPS. Really what an outrageous moment it was..never in my faintest imagines that i thought that i will witness such a sight.Super Performance by the 12309 Patna Rajdhani which really left the FTP station rock bottomed.Sadly the poor passengers of SK who were in their deep slumber missed to see such a super overtake.Also see how my adrenaline level like always rush to an all time high that i shout.."Woohoo" as soon as the 21 coach Patna Raj breezes past me.
Also i have focused on the destination boards of the stable train which clearly reads "Sampoorna Kranti"..This is done for those who may cry foul play after watching the video. :D
