sir, logically speaking, if someone from Mau claims that their platform is long and it turns out to be false, that does NOT mean that if someone from Daund says that Daund pf is long, that statement is ALSO false. Just look at the logical fallacy of it. That's all I ask.
as for true fact.
if it is true that Daund's pf# 2 is 698m. Average length of BG coach is 22m (including side buffers). Number of coaches accommodated = 698/22 ~ 32 coaches.
So...
more... Azar's statement that 2 24 coach trains can stand end-to-end in Daund is incorrect. Answer lies somewhere in between. 32 coach length for a pf is long enough.
now for Kharagpur. Length = 1072m. Number of coaches = 1072/22 ~ 49 coaches. So, your blanket statement "I dunno about longest station, but know, no station can manage 48 Coach Rake+2 Loco=50" is also false. Kharagpur can (almost) manage it.
So, now I have proved the fact that Kharagpur can manage it. As for your logic supporting your argument "what the use for such long platform creation...". That is fallacious logic. I have given you a fact that Kharagpur supports 49 coaches. So now you may do your own investigation as to what "use" it is - since that is a fact, as proven above.
