MTS had last year started offering free WiFi in Metro rails by entering into a partnership with Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Limited (RMGL). Originally MTS had received the green signal for setting up WiFi in the three stations of Agra, Ahmedabad and Varanasi under the digital India initiative led by PM Modi. The work of setting up these WiFi hotspots is charted to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2015. The stations of New Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore already have WiFi facility up and running.

got permission to set up WiFi hotspots at Secunderabad railway station in Hyderabad. This is being done as a part of a modernization process for all ‘A’ and ‘A1′ category stations across the country. South Central Railway (SCR) general manager P K Srivastava said “work for completing the wi-fi project is nearing its end, and it should be open for use ‘very soon.’ The wi-fi connectivity is slated to be available at all the 10 platforms and also the foot over bridges of the Secunderabad railway station.” As reported by the Times of India.

At an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh, the connectivity is being provided using the gigabyte ethernet switches. To access it, the passengers would need to switch on the wi-fi option on their phone, and connect to the network called ‘Railway MTS Wi-Fi’.

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...

It has been over 2 weeks since the appointment of the current batch of FMs and 750 Complaints have been handled so far.
