The sole bar of the D8 coach of Bengaluru-Ernakulam Intercity Express, which derailed on February 13, has been cut and sent to the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) in Lucknow.
The train derailed at Belagondapalli, near Anekal, killing nine people who were in D8 coach.
