The Mangalore Madgaon Passenger, even if delayed by an hour till Gokarna Road, manages to reach Madgaon by 13:00.. Down train usually runs 40-45mins late..
Onboard licensed vendors sell tea, coffee, samosa, dosa, idli, sandwiches, vada pav, lassi, mineral water, cold drinks and chips.. Prices are quite reasonable.. Lassi comes for Rs 15, Sandwich for Rs 20 each and 2 vada pavs for Rs 20.. Though primarily tomato with mayonnaise, the sandwich is good.. Vada pav is just okay to beat hunger.. Chips are sold at a higher rate than MRP..

I have travelled couple of times on may 2016 month.No breakfast nothing.Only vadapav and samosa available that too at little quantity for ₹25 and tea coffee available and lays,kurkure and local chips packets available and cold drink available.I suffered a lot reading this tip.Got up early in the morning at 5 am to board at Maq to Karwar.I was expecting breakfast,but nothing sufferd hunger till Karwar and directly had lunch.Please take it serious and carry your own food.No food available in stations too.
