Retrofitment of Environment friendly Bio-Toilet in Coaches.

Wagons:
POH & NPOH of air brake wagons (BOXN,BOXNHS,BCN,BCNA,BCNAHS,BVZI).
POH of BLC wagons.

Manufacturing:
Manufacture and fabrication of Coach & Wagon components.
Overhauling & Repair of subassemblies like wheel sets, Springs, Buffers,Cartridge Taper Roller Bearings etc. to coaching shops & divisions.
Reclamation, Heat-treatment and testing of critical safety items like screw coupling, bolster suspension hangers, draw gear equipment & brake block hangers etc.
Manufacture of FRP / SMC items through hand and machine moulding process.
Maintenance:
The workshop undertakes in-house maintenance of nearly 1000 Machinery Plant like EOTs, Wheel Lathe, Wheel Press, Shearing M/c. Traversers etc for both Mechanical & Electrical breakdowns.

Electrical:
Overhaul and repair of electrical equipments including Roof mounted AC Package unit, Alternators, Motors, Compressors, Power Car, Transformers, Fans etc.
Provision of Tube Light fittings in Non-AC Coaches including lavatories, Laptop / mobile charging points in AC and GSCN coaches.
Distribution of Power Supply in workshop, colony, hospital and service buildings.
Maintenance of Pumps for Drinking water & pumping out of water from drains.
Metallurgical & Chemical Laboratory:
Non-destructive testing including Ultrasonic testing of axles & wheels. Chemical analysis and physical testing of ferrous & non-ferrous materials and oils, lubricants, paints, varnishes, rubber, felt items etc.
Failure Investigation of rolling stock components.
Supervision and Quality Control of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).

IT Centre:
The EDP Centre, now IT Centre was set up in Liluah in the year 1988 as per Railway Board's directive to computerize fourteen workshops.
The objective of obtaining information on Rolling Stock maintenance, Production Planning & Control, Payroll of both GPR & APR, Income Tax of both GPR & APR staff, PF, Financial Management, Personnel Management etc. to facilitate Managerial decision, have been successfully implemented & all are running.
WISE-II is under implementation at 5 workshops as pilot project, LLH Workshop is also one of them.

Store:
Liluah depot is holding 2556 nos stock items to meet the requirement of Liluah Workshop and division of E.Rly., out of which A Cat. Items- 159, B Cat. Items- 337,C1 & C2 Cat items- 1303, D Cat. Items- 38 & nil Cat.items- 719.
Dy.CMM/LLH is the in-charge of the depot and he is assisted by AMM/P & AMM/L AMM/LCD.
Altogether there are eight nos of stocking wards for stocking of all the stock items. In addition to this RB sec, Genl.Sec, Despatch Sec,RR Sec, Ledger Sec, IC Sec, Computer Sec & Lorry Garrage etc. are under Dy.CMM/LLH.
