A north indian person specially student who stays in pune seriously gets tensed whenever the vacations or home going time comes.
You know why , because he will never get a direct confirmed ticket for any train from pune-delhi.
You cannot dare to even check goa express or jhelum express because you know already these train's WL would have crossed century , or atleast half century. Y can not take chances with RLWL or PQWL of these trains.

remaining train, two weeklies , who are so weak in providing seats for pune people to capital, that they get into WL on the first day of ARP itself.
Earlier only option was left out,karnataka sampark kranti exp. But due to foolish politics of Mr Bansal, this superfast train is now even slower than jhelum express. Ans still you have to fight for it's ticket. You are lucky if you get a confirmed seat. But lady luck doesn't shine for all. Some doesn't get their seats because they are shown REGRET.
Now you have duranto express. Thanks IR for atleast providing a bi-weekly duranto express. Atleast some middle class or upper middle class families can afford 2200 bucks for travelling. But this also gets attacked on the first day of ARP.
So all options over , or something is still left ?
yaa, you will say mumbai is nearer to pune, so pune people can travel to mumbai and board train for delhi, but is that seems so easy ?
It will be just like all trains from kanpur gets diverted to lucknow and no train goes via CNB. Bcause kanpur lucknow is not even 100km, so you can travel from kanpur to lucknow,the state capital for boarding train.
I don't understand why these railway board personals cannot see the scenerio. They are starting new special trains or even regular trains on those routes where already there is average demand. And its already known that those trains would not even get full.
Whereas this route, pune-delhi, i can assure, not only me ,even many puneities can assure that any new train from pune to delhi or pune to punjab will never run below 100% occupancy.
Summers got over but not even a special or premium or Atleast a tatkal fare train didnt started. What are they thinking by sitting in delhi , i don't even know.
