Today morning (Monday, 20-Jul-2015), at 07:35 hrs, at Pune Electric Trip Shed (ETS), surprise visitor Eastern Railway's Asansol AC Loco ER / ASN WAM4 # 21385 was seen! Also, another surprise visitor ACD (Anti Collision Device) fitted SPJ WDM3B # 14167 Gajraj Diesel was seen in diesel loco service center. Pune-Mumbai Pragati Exp was ready on PF5 with KYN WCAM3 and Manmad-Pune Passenger came with PUNE WDM3A # 18773 Engine. Ludhiana Powers LDH WAG7 # 28079 # 27639 were taking rest at ETS along with usual KYN WCAM2/2P/3 Locos.

This Asansol WAM4 is still at Pune ETS (as of today morning 21-Jul-2015 at 07:30 hrs)!
ASN has huge no. of WAM 4's........ can be seen in different parts of india
Asansol WAM-4 # 21385 is still taking rest outside ETS (after 10 days at Pune) as of 30-Jul-2015! It did not go back towards ASN with 02511 Pune-Kamakhya Kumbh Mela Spl Train (which was hauled by Vijayawada WAG-7 # 28425 AC Power). As per discussions, it is now understood that this WAM4 will be kept as extra or back-up loco at Pune and will be used only when some regular loco is reported with failure. Again, for failure of loco CSTM-Pune Trains, Pune Operations will preferably give KYN WCAM2/2P/3 as replacement loco (rather than this ASN WAM4). This power will be used to haul some other zones train (i.e. WR / NWR Train) if there is loco failure of that train! So let's wait and watch! Let's see how many more days this loco takes rest at Pune!
Finally, today, 31.7.2015, this ASN WAM4 # 21385 went out of Pune with outgoing Pune-Bhusaval Exp!
