Once again, SCR proves they are not giving justice to Nanded Division by releasing two back to back press release. Today, around 12:30 pm, on SCR website, an notification came to run weekly 2 specials to Pune. One via Latur (07621/07622) and One via Manmad (02729/02730) till Dec. 2015. Immediately, after two hours they announced that they are cancelling those specials. The reason due to which I hurt was they told due to poor pantorage they are going to cancel those specials. I wonder how can they expect good pantorage after 2 hours of press-release. Most of the people don't know that SCR is running special any. It's purely injustice with Nanded people. If SCR has taken decision to cancel specials on the basis of past data, then why did they announce specials in the morning?

I won't say, SCR is not at all doing any job over here. My point is SCR is not giving justice to demands of people. For few points, I'm not agree with you:-
1. Track Strengthening:- I'll tell you one simple example, if you leave Nanded & proceeds towards Parbhani, speed of train automatically reduces to 20 km/hr, why? because there is one speed restriction board kept due to track issues, now, this board is there from last 6 years, still they did not get time to rework on this

issue. AVG Speed of train in this division is decreased. SCR is telling no of trains are increased, but fact is although no of trains are increased, but on this single line lots speed restriction zones are there.
2. Development Activities: No doubt, they are developing stations like Partur, Selu, Manvat Road etc. But, these station are declared as Aadarsh Stations in budget, that's why good amount of money received from IR. Also, these stations are making good business too. In this development activities also they are making politics, i've an example for the same, on Aurangabad station, in order to go from Pf. 1 to PF. 2 lift is sanctioned for physically handicapped people & senior citizens. They got fund and did the construction work, after construction work gets over, in order to put lift in construction work, SCR took 3 years. They are telling lack of funds. What is this? For almost 3 years, the construction is without having lift lobby.
3. Dual Engine: They are attaching dual locos, due to increase in no coaches of the train. If you observe, speed of train is not increased although two locos are attached to train. Although, Devgiri Express has two locos, speed of the train is decreased in Nanded Division. SCR is giving WDM 3A MLY Shed locos to this division, these locos are too old and having lots of maintainace issues. You will never find new locos attached to train of this division. Few days before, Mr. ssastronaut has shared a link to all of us, how SCR kidnapped our new sanctioned locos.
4. Crew Cabin Shifting to AWB: They have taken this decision, in order to have convenience to their staff. Crew change is for Parli bound trains, because from PRLI, drivers & guards has to come without duty from PRLI to NED, as from PRLI, less no trains are there, as compare to Nanded, where they used to join duty. Also, in order to take in-charge at PRLI, they have to go by own. In order to overcome this problem, they did like that.
Finally, you raised few trains will be introduced after MMR-MUE doubling work. Is there any work started? MMR-PBN doubling is not declared yet, only survey has been done. Chalo, we'll talk about MUE-PBN doubling work which was sanctioned 5 years before. With reference to this work, we'll require another 3 more years to complete this work. Soil work which has been done earlier gets wasted as we did not get fund in time. Now, they start working from PBN. If SCR is able to complete this by time which is almost 3 years as per official sources, so we required 3+5 = 8 years, in order to have doubling of MUE-PBN which is only 81 KM's. Then you can imagine how much time they will take for 291 KMs. After that, you'll introduce trains? Now, keep this stuck aside, my question is simple, in current infrastructure only, how southern bound trains gets adjusted? Although, there is huge traffic between NED-AWB, there is no intercity. In AWB itself, after 5 am, there is no train for NED till 11.30 which is Sachkhand Express and coming from Amritsar & house-full, passengers trains are used to run late by 2-3 hrs late. In order to have this intercity, is SCR needs to relay on anybody?

maturity i meant for infrastructure which AWB certainly dont have. Look at BSL and NGP they have very good infrastructure (big railway station, Loco shed/ diesel shed, Mechanical workshops, track/ coach maintenance station, pit line, coach washing facility, important railway route, electrification, doubling, good utilisation of routes,DRM office and so many originating trains and tons of changing passengers, think that way. Its difficult for AWB to qualify for Division. CR HQ at AWB is impossible. If in future CR HQ is to be shifted out of Mumbai, It would be definitely NGP. I am of the view that whole NED division can join CR with its existing jurisdiction, that's the demand people made decades ago.

Infrastructure- Development are interdependent...like 1st egg or 1st hen...
as far as infrastructure is concerned...let me give u some facts..
1. AWB exports approximately 3000 containers per yr from its container depot...next 3-4 yrs prediction is that it will increase to approximately 5000 containers per years which accounts to approximately 1000 Corers rupees worth of industrial products. AWB goods shed handles 5 Corers rupees of goods per yr (Sorted info in RTI, SCR did not provide income from container depot)

In FY 2014-15 AWb crossed income of 50 Corers, so you can imagine passenger flow ( I accept it is till very low compared to big stations...but significant though.
3. Now about other facilities...the attitude of SCR is like this: Since there are no terminal facilities, they can't give new trains and other facilities to AWB. And since there are no trains (to imp destinations) originating from AWB, they can't give terminal facilities since there is no (so called) income. But SCR simply ignores the fact that every yr thousands of travellers visit to AWB for tourism, business and educational purpose, similarly AWB citizens also travel to other cities of India. Right now I do not have in and out going tourist and business purpose ppls from AWB, but soon I ll sort it from RTI.
Now plz tell me, can't SCR simple give some basic terminal facilities at AWB which will help AWB to increase its income upto 130 Corers?
4. As far as route utilization is concerned, it is misused rather than used... poor track maintenance and trains only for Shirdi pax...
5. Doubling is started..lets see. AWB-Chalisgaon, NED-Wardha route construction will also start soon..that will also help AWB in my view..

Bro, I understand AWB can further be developed but everything regarding AWB RIGHT NOW is "will be", "can be". even If we ignore infrastructure, AWB lies on MMR-SC route which according to IR is not important route and most North bound trains from NED started via Akola ignoring AWB (i wonder PAU-AK route is now imp railway route though it was converted to BG after SC-MMR ). By income its behind other A grade stations (MMR, NED, BSL) though being a big city. There is not even proposal for doubling track at AWB (proposal is Parbhani-Mudkhed) I can say there is no need to split NED division to create another AWB Div. It would be good if utilization is increased on this route.

Thanks for sharing few points which I am unaware of, but only one thing which I have observed is - speed is certainly increased by attaching dual engines because, inspite of so many crossings, trains with dual engines manage to cover the travel time between parbhani to aurangabad in 2 hrs 50 min. Quoting this from my personal experience past few trips. If you see the same MLY loco go with Karnataka SF exp as there is LSA between Devagiri and Karnataka loco. There are few incidences of loco failure, but that is comparatively less and is common as it is observed in many other parts of India as well even in CR we observe loco failures may be diesel or electric. At the end its a machine and can develop fault sometime.
