@विश्व नाथ*: Re# 169699-28
Sir,
For the sake of succinctness, I will not repeat the points here:
1. All the RAC seats are Lower berths only and hence ONLY and ONLY, the berths are used by/for RAC Passengers. Where ever only seat concept is there ( ACCH, 2nd class, Executive class etc.), there is no RAC). And where ever RAC is there, it is...
more... berth only which is used by 2 passengers. In 3rd AC or SL, these are side lower BERTHS and in 2nd AC, these are Side Lower and/or Inner Lower berths.
2. That is what I had stated in my first reply in this thread. It is abnormal but not out of scope.
3. NO, this is similar to the SLB concept. At and SLB, there are 2 passengers put under RAC and the SUB is enjoyed by a confirmed passenger. During day time, the confirmed one also comes down and an SLB has to accommodate 3 passengers. The same thing is there with an LB being utilized by 2 RAC passengers which is to be use by the Upper berth Passenger also during day time and hence, on a berth of SINGLE passenger to sleep, 3 sit (in normal case, 2 have to sit anyway).
Thanks!
