My Grievance to SWR :-

The General Manager, South Western Railway, Bangalore Sir, I regret to bring to your notice about the pathetic situation of Vasco Da Gama Railway Station and the non availability of amenities therein. It seems that you have conveniently forgotten the development of station itself. During my last couple of trips I faced the following problems:-

1. I had booked in AC Three Tier coach in Vasco Yeshwantpur Biweekly Express on 15.08.2015. As I reached the station at 20:30, the rake was yet to be shunted on the platform when the departure was 20:45. The rake was shunted on the platform at 21:50 hours post which it departed on 22:05 hours. There were no announcements nor were there any indicators at the platforms and all passengers to grapple in dark. Only after did I visited the station Masters cabin, did they care to announce that the train was delayed.

2. Meanwhile AC Waiting room was locked and yesterday when I went to Vasco to board Goa Express, I found to my dismay that Ac waiting room was locked.

3. There are no adequate local train services for passengers to proceed to Madgaon from where they could catch their connecting trains to Mumbai or Mangalore. It would be better to extend Mangalore Madgaon Intercity Express from Madgaon to Vasco to start with.

4. Talking about local train services, SWR is using the old rickety rusty coaches in Vasco Kulem Passengers. The coaches are stinking and there is no water in toilets. Why doesn’t SWR think of running 5 coach DMU services between Vasco and Kulem which will save precious diesel fuel of Railways and also SWR can run bihourly services between Vasco and Kulem for eg From Vasco: 07:30/09:20/11:15/13:20/17:30/18:45/20:05 Requesting you to please arrange to issue suitable instructions especially on train announcements at Vasco and Opening of AC Waiting room with immediate effect.
