4 at the outers of the above mentioned station, and then races past the same through the down fast line. At the freight siding, you can find two freights waiting, hauled by twin WAG- 7 and twin WAG- 5 respectively. At the fag end of the video, you can find a line that crosses the Damodar river, and heads towards the MEJIA THERMAL POWER STATION.
RANIGANJ RAILWAY STATION:
Raniganj is a railway station on the Bardhaman-Asansol section. It is located in Asansol, Bardhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It lies in the heart of Raniganj Coalfield and serves the neighbourhood of Raniganj in Asansol, and the surrounding mining-industrial area of Asansol.
"The entire belt between Durgapur (158 km from Howrah), and all the way up to Dhanbad and beyond is industrialized. Apart from factories, there are many coalmines, some closed now, and some with fires burning deep in the mineshafts. The mining area extends for a large area, mostly to the south of the tracks. Quite a portion of the track passes through cuttings, where the surrounding area is higher than the track level, resulting in the profusion of characteristic small masonry bridges crossing the tracks." This description is from "Gomoh loco shed and CLW trip record" by Samit Roychoudhury.
MEJIA THERMAL POWER PLANT:
Mejia Thermal Power Station is located at Durlovpur, Bankura, 35 km from Durgapur city in West Bengal. The power plant is one of the coal based power plants of DVC. Commissioned on 1996, MTPS is the largest thermal power plant, in terms of generating capacity in the state of West Bengal as well as among other DVC power plants.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
