Electric Loco successfully ran between kallayi and cheruvatur on Wednesday.
Cheruvathoor: Kallai-Cheruvathoor line electrification was completed, the electric test train ran on Wednesday. The test run was started in the morning at 9.55 from Kallai. At Kannur the train stopped for half an hour. The tower wagon connected to the electrical testing engine ran 140 kilometers and reached Cheruvathoor at 1.40 pm. The railway station master and crew, came to the first platform at Cheruvathoor to receive the first electric test train.
The train stopped for half an hour and made its way back to Kallai at 2.10. The test run was successful and security commissioner will check the route at the end of March. Railway officials said the passenger trains will begin the service to Cheruvathoor after the Security...
