“I travelled by train No. 22801 Visakhapatnam-Madras Super Fast Express. It was jam packed. There was no chance of RAC getting confirmed. I have a few questions for the East Coast Railway in this regard,” says Mani of Chennai.
When there are seven trains in that slot (7.20 p.m. departure), why is only train No. 22801 routed via New Guntur? Is this not a biased decision?
Either all trains originating in Odisha and West Bengal should run via New Guntur or re-route train No. 22801 on the regular route.

The train should be made a daily and timings should be changed so that it leaves at around 5 p.m. and reaches Chennai at around 5.30 a.m.
“I travelled by train No.12246 Yesvantapur – Howrah Duronto Express from Yesvantapur to Vizianagaram on March 18. When I checked with the South Western Railway (SWR) authorities in Bengaluru as to why this particular train (this slot) is not touching Visakhapatnam, their reply has baffled me — That is your zone (ECoR) decision,” says Raghu of Bengaluru.
“Visakhapatnam is an A-1 grade station, a major junction between Chennai and Howrah, the largest city in AP, besides being a Lok Sabha Constituency. I wonder what else is required to re-route this train via Visakhapatnam. ”

All the trains should not be routed through Vizac and reversal.Even so many trains have not routed via Mumbai /Chennai Metro.Vizac to other destinations suitable direct trains shall be served the purposes for Vizac.

Let us take MUMBAI : Mumbai has locals .. it has 5 Terminals .. and only after it became saturated they r bypassing ..
CHENNAI : Chennai also has loals Only few r bypassing n going Via PER ..
I do not know how can u compare Chennai & Mumbai with Vizag ..
