That day 12440 was really struggling from ndls itself.. I guess some problem with loco might be the probable reason for its poor show that day.. otherwise 12440 is a fine rajdhani..

12440 was running with Grand Daddy 22061 EX WAP 1 ASHOK, presently WAP 4. The 1st halt was given at DAP, at about 1 AM, where it was overtaken by 12314 after waiting for 7 - 8 mins. Dont know why was it made to halt. The 2nd halt was given at ARW for almost 1 hour where 12306 and 22812 overtook it. The problem was with the grand old daddy. The rake was 10 3A, 6 2A, 1 1A, 2 EOG, 1 PC. The P7 would have made remarkable improvement in the accl figure. The accl of this grandpa was ' Oh my God, what is my fault ? Why am I made to haul such long trains at thus high speed ? '. Yesterday I had a small talk with the LP. They too complained about the problems they face with such locos, but NDLS isn't in a mood...
to hear their misery. This is the interior of 22061. Badly maintained. Not enough space to stand, and once u close the door and even if window is open, u can bathe in sweat in mins.

The heat generated is too much in conventional locos.Especially P1 maintanence is pathetic.

Mujhe bhi aisa hi lag raha tha ki us din iske poor performance ke piche kuch toh problem hoga iske loco me kyuki ye ndls se hi struggle kar rhi thi..
Cnb shatabdi ko catch hi nhi kar pa rhi thi us din.. aajkal passengers ko bhi wap4 regularly milta hai toh kya soch ke ek rajdhani train ko wap1 diya hoga?
