A BUS JOURNEY REPORT FROM MY SIDE (INDIAN METRO CITY BUS FANNING):-

Day before yesterday (Friday), I came across AC-12D (Howrah Stn to Joka Diamond Park CSTC AC AshLey) Bus but didn't board it since it had packed many commuters like cattle in a freight train. So I let it go since my previous experience was awful in this overcrowded bus where there's hardly any place to stand and our bones are squeezed like anything. Other peoples' palms hit on our heads, ladies heels smash our feet and the backbone just cracks...

like anything.... I've faced it all in this bus!!! So on that day I let it go and after a few minutes, S-45 (Kolkata Chitpur Stn to Behala Sakuntala Park TataMarcopolo) Bus came and I boarded it. Even in this bus I didn't get a seat but it wasn't crowded. The crowd just started increasing as the bus moved towards South-West Calcutta.

Yesterday (Saturday), I again saw this AC-12D bus but I could board it since it was just crowded being a weekend. I didn't get a seat and had to stand near the back gate that's always closed near a healthy man with his huge red bag on the floor. He must have boarded this bus from Howrah Station itself after getting down from an Intercity or Local train.

Moral of the Story: During weekdays, you pay Rs. 20 and above in an over-crowded bus but only need to pay Rs. 8 in a crowded or light bus... such is the Calcutta State Transportation for you!!!! ;) :) :D
