Mumbai Locals are another example, the same rake comes to CST and then it is pushed to Thane, then again pulled to CST. The Delhi metro trains also work the same way.

Yes, in local trains, attached locos are there, but don't know if Sapthagiri has the same system or not.

Sapthagiri is having a normal loco at one side and another side is a simply operated car. Which can accommodate public also.
