I really like if my ongoing train gets delayed and to cover the delay, the zone gives the top priority...
To share an instance, Once was travelling in 12782, NZM MYS SWR JNT Express, from MTJ to UBL, winter was the season and delays were on there peak, At MTJ itself I was happy to see that all train towards NZM are running late by 1 hour... but to my surprise, 12782 coming from NZM was only delayed by 10 min, that too the train arrived just after 15 min of Bhopal Shatabdi...
But...
more... the festival was now after crossing GWL, we although in main track where been given RED for almost 1.5 hour, so it was now for sure that all the train behind us are also held up in respective station, train crawled that whole day with just 40 kmph upto BINA Jn, where it was handed over to WCR with 3.5 hours delay... all other trains were still back of us...
Then after BINA at around 6.45pm... train gain the speed and priority.... the time we entered BPL, passengers where telling us that this is the first train to come after BHOPAL SHATABDI.. halted for 10 min, and no sooner where released to let WCR to make up the delay,, got really top priority and where made to reach BSL at 00.30, handed over to CR with 2.5 hours delay... covered the 1 hour in just 7 hours with scrapping and tearing tracks of WCR, but the situation went wrong in CR - BSL PUNE section where in there where no signs to help train cover the delay.... but was again given a top priority at SWR, wherein we Over took its queen 16590.... and finally reached UBL 2hours delay following KSK slot...at 1020pm
That journey was the best journey till the date in my life.... people around you talking about IR, its controlling without knowing reasons....
