Hello all,
I had booked a ticket on 7th June 2016 for a travel on 8th October 2016. It was heavily wait listed at WL 19 and 20. However in the course of 4 months and after loads of questions asked in forum, I was satisfied by seeing that the waitlisted number reducing to a RaC and finally confirmed a week before my travel. On the day of travel, at 1PM, I got a SMS stating that I was allocated B1 coach with seats 15 and 16. These were the seat preferences of my choice. The coach was positioned just behind the EOG vehicle next to the Engine. Which means that I was lucky enough to be one of the first people

to rech NDLS before rest of the people on the train !!
Sharp at 16.50 the signal turned green and a selfie posted n FB stating "Dilli Chalo", I began my journey. Welcome drinks of lime water was served along with a bottle of mineral water of Rail Neer company. Soon after that, it was time for snacks. By the time the train has headed in the chord line off Dankuni, bread sandwich, samosa and tea was served. By the time, Bardhamaan crossed, bread sticks and soup was served. Dinner was served post the train crossed Asansol. Non Veg dinner consisted of 2 Rotis, Rice, Daal, 2 piece Chicken Curry, Pickle, and Curd. The curd was stale and hence, many passengers refused to take it. Customary 2 in 1 ice cream was served before everyone was heading towards bed.
Day 2 started with the train alredy crossed Kanpur Central. Morning tea and breakfast was served. Breakfast includes, 2 piece bread, 1 butter, 1 omlette and tea bag for preparing instant tea. After crossing Tundla and Dadri, the speed reduced drastically and it was becoming a pain as a train of the fame of SDAH Rajdhani was stopped at local stations. However, it was 10.35am, at platform number 15 we were de boarded.
This is my trip report for a journey taken on B1 coach of SDAH NDLS Rajdani Express on 8th October 2016.
The coach condition was new, the attendants and cleaner guy was co-operative and ot looked from the outset that railways is doing a good job in maintenance of rakes and services. However, there is a lot of dissapointment on the return leg of the journey which I will pen a new post sometime soon.
Ceyaa,
Rahul.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
