I have few queries regarding this train - I am traveling by car to Araku, but would like to experience the awesome tunnel section in this train and take some ~1 hr journey on this train. My queries are:
1. Where do maximum of the scenic route and tunnels lie on the path of this train - between SLPM/TXD and BGHU or between BGHU and Shimliguda. If I can get most of the tunnels between SLPM/TXD and BGHU, I would drive down to SLPM/TXD, board the train till BGHU and then come back and pick my car.
2.

Does the train stop at TXD and will I get tickets there? How crowded will be the general/2S compartments on a Saturday? If yes which station should I prefer - SLPM or TXD?
Thanks !

U need to travel all the way from skota till araku in train to enjoy tunnels and valley. Most tunnels ate between skota and borra. But getting into train in skota is very difficult as it gets filled up fully at vskp itself and weekends its beyond reach. If u want to enjoy train journey then u have book in sleeper/general seating till araku/koraput so as to enjoy the beauty.

Thanks Deepak. Is it so crowded that we wont get standing space also? I mean if we can even squeeze in standing b/w tyada and borra it would be just 40 min but I should be getting tunnel numbers 10 - ~40 probably.
Actually we are a grp of 9-10, and since we have limited time, I was thinking if we even get some of the scenic spots in some subset of the train journey it would be great and better than experiencing nothing.

BTW,

Tyda has some restrictions of halting now for security reasons and not sure whether they have suspended halt. You won't be able to enjoy much if u are not in window seat or sitting position. Doors have lot of demand then seats in general coaches.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
