Sorrows of CG/ SECR
(1) No RM/ MoS from CG since independence, most of the MPs being inactive and getting elected on the basis of party bhakti/ caste equations etc rather than individual qualities
(2) No wonder CG/SECR is getting minimal investment in capacity augmentation in spite of being most profitable one for IR since decades!!
(3) CG/SECR and Orissa/ECoR are at the same

platform,similar network, similar loading, traffic, profits, Operating Ration,etc but CG/SECR get less than half the funds for capacity augmentation, much lesser new trains, etc, still CG state govt. is usually silent, complacent and contended, where as Orissa State govt still builds pressure for more! and gets more.
(4) No 130kmph train in CG inspite of beimg on (MUM-HWH) trunk route
(5) No Dedicated Freight Corridor for one of the the highest loading zone in the first phase
(6) BSP Raj, the most neglected one was distinctly the last to get LHB rake
(7) Public convenience given last preference, only chair car train being lone JS(G-RIG). Intrastate short distance travel is costly as the CG people have to pay heavily for SL/ACIII rather than IIS/ACC for short journeys like 50-100km.
(8) No train initiating from CG for Mumbai, Gujrat etc and no connection to many destinations. many people forced to take trains to Mumbai from G/NGP due to non availability of reservation
(9) No link train for Durg/G for VSKP/TPTY, they are forced to take trains at R
(10) Weak political forces has lead to increase in power of HQs. Many trains hijacked by zonal HQ instead of extending them to Korba/ Durg/ Raigarh much to the benefit of more people of the region/state. They have to catch train at zonal HQ. Terminal facility augmentation/ new trains denied to such cities and instead are augmented at zonal HQ and now the new state capital which is yet to be inhibited! Most of the new projects/ fund allocatios are focussed around zonal HQ to the extent possible.
(11) Not a single km of rail line constructed on pubic demand under "socially desirable category" (Loss making but constructed for convenience of local people). Only augmentation is multipling of heavy freight route, primarily to run more train and earn more profits rather than to facilitate local populace.
