We've seen our railways evolving like never before under the leadership of beloved Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu. With massive advancements in the way we travel, things that were once a luxury are now an everyday thing.
In the same vein, in an attempt to keep up with the best, the Indian Railways plans to bring on board 2-5 Talgo trains in less than a year's time. The ministry is awaiting approval on the Niti Aayog before officially asking the Spanish manufacturer of high-speed trains to lease these. Good and welcomes this move.Since Talgo trains saves enormous energy ( 30% )and save track (20 to 30% ) time.This technologyical upgradation benefits have to be passed to the Indian Public.So the Talgo Shadabthi fares have to be lowered at least by 10 % .The patronages have to be increased tremendously.

On the contrary, most probably Talgo Shatabdi fares are going to be more.
The advantages reported appear exaggerated. The comparision appears to be with ICF coach and not LHB.
Every thing depends on the cost of leasing/ procurement. The pastindications however go against Talgo.
