country like India, even then IR is at the verge of financial bankruptcy struggling to meet necessary expenses due to gross mismanagement. Where as the costlier ones like road and air transport are flourishing against odds due to much better management. IF BTs shall be managed with vested interests in mind like IR way, no body can save it. Only if operated under separate umbrella, the success is possible. Much depends on the management and staff, which has to be young, intelligent, dynamic, hard working and innovative, as every thing shall be a challenge for them.
