Not every thing is decided by revenue brother...
Gaya is arguably the biggest tourism center Bihar has to offer!
Gaya has an international reach....DBG can never touch GAYA's level so it is out of question...
MFP is not only a bigger station than Darbhanga and but also lies on the BJU-MFP-HJP-SEE which can be considered a semi-trunk route if not a trunk route...
MGS
...
is ECR's biggest and most important junction, no Patna isn't, Almost 85 percent of ECR's traffic plies though MGS....also it's closeness to BSB and UP Elections might have played a role....
Like I said not everything is decided by revenue brother...actually revenue generation in most cases plays little role in facilities being provided....political might does!!!

Brother,Why are you dragging this topic to another level,U wanna see A fight Between these cities?
But you have come this far,i am obligated to give you a suitable reply!
I was just saying that they should provide facilities according to their respective ranks,Since DBG is the 3rd highest revenue generating station of ECR,Passenger movement from DBG is certainly higher than MGS!
Have you
...
ever had a look on no. of trains which passes through these stations and their average passenger movements!
Lemme show you!
MGS
No. Of Platforms-8 (Total-284)
No. of halting trains-270
No. of originating trains-14
Avg passenger movement per day-11163,Revenue-49.83Cr
GAYA
No. of platforms-9
No. of halting trains-102
No. of originating trains-31 (Total-133)
Avg passenger movement per day-20433,Revenue-74.53 Cr
MFP
No. of platforms-6
No. of halting trains-102
No.of originating trains-27 (Total-129)
Avg passenger movement per day-21075,Revenue-100.41 Cr
SPJ
No. of platforms-7
No. of halting trains-142
No. of originating trains-20 (Total-162)
Category-A grade station!
DBG
No. of platforms-5 (Two of them are low level PFs cant describe the condition of those PFs)
No. of halting trains-54
No.of originating trains-22 (Total-76)
Avg Passenger Movement per day-15244,Revenue-77.25 Cr
Hav a look at it!
Its very easy to bash a particular station by saying that it has no importance infront of other stations!
There is a reason behind all these!
I hv given u the stats, now you are mature enough to understand the situations!
I dont care about the fact that which station lies on which section or whatsoever!
When a station deserves something then it should be provided to it!
76 Trains,Yes 76 trains are serving a station whose average passenger movement per day is 15244 which gives 77 crores in return whereas 284 trains are serving a station whose average passenger movement is 11163, which gives 49 crores in return!
Why Such partialty with DBG?
Why such ignorance with DBG?
DBG gives 77 crores from 76 trains!
MFP gives 100 crores from 129 trains!
MGS gives 49 crores from 284 trains!
GAYA gives 74 crores from 133 trains!
162 trains are serving an A Grade station SPJ!
Think...Think...Think!!
You are matured enough to get this!
If DBG had these huge no. of trains, how much revenue DBG would have been able to earn Huh?
I know giving highest revenue is not something to be proud of!
And you think GAYA has an international touch, you are definitely unaware of the fact that biggest runway airport of bihar is available here in DBG!
Once Let this airport get started, then u'll see what DBG would become!
Undoubtedly,Gaya is the biggest tourism centre of bihar, but beacuse of their leaders, they care about GAYA
Gaya's got support from their leaders for everything to maintain their tourism spots,Gaya always gets promoted by bihar tourism!
You have certainy heard of all the tourism spots of Gaya!
But does DBG get this much prominence like Gaya? Does it?
Have you ever heard of these places like,LNMU,KSDSU,European guest house,Darbhanga raj palace,Darbhabga red fort etc?
Ohh why would you coz these places never gets such prominence nd promitions!
You are probably unaware of the that fact DBG is the most underrated tourism centre of bihar just because of ignorence of Govt!
Dont take me in a wrong way,m not criticizing GAYA am just saying that DBG also deserves prominence as much as gaya does!

You missed the most important conclusion .....that was present in my last line.
I will re-quote it for your convience "actually revenue generation in most cases plays little role in facilities being provided....political might does!!!"
You mistook my entire post as an example deliberate regionalism and Darbhanga Bashing! I can assure you that it was not my intention.
Infact contrary to your assumption I
...
have had actually acted as mediator of sorts when there was a terrible 'war of words' between a section of Muzaffarpur and Dabhanga fans......
Infact I have been a staunch critic of regional bashing and if you have a doubt, have a look at my blogging history :)
Infact my post was aimed at justifying the reasons why DBG was denied a WIFI connection for so long, and why GAYA, MGS etc were given promotion ahead.....
It is a known fact that the earning per head/train is highest at DBG even higher than PNBE!
I know that you feel that DBG isn't getting the recognition it deserves, and you are hurt, butyYou took my 'harmless post' and sorta made a 'mountain out of a mole hill'!
Anyway just saying, I have been to Darbhanga Rajbari.... It was the wedding of the sister of a friend and he literally dragged me with him to DBG!
It is my solitary visit there....
And finally hurting your sentiments was never my intention!
See you around here :)

Ohh sorry brother, that was a bit of harsh of me!
Well,if you had been this much specific in your previous comment,i wouldn't have reacted like the way i did!
Actually i thought u were blindly bashing DBG without knowing these facts!
Good to hear that u've been to DBG RAJ! :)
Good
