Since the diversion is temporary for Railway maintenance works, the extra additional train fares for 71 km have to be withdrawn.
Today i travel from Madurai to Kovilpatti in this diverted train via Manamadurai ,Aruppukkottai and Virudhunagar of distance 163 km with passenger fares of Rs 35/( Normal fares from Kovilpatti to Madurai via Virudhunagar and Thirumangalam of distance 92 km is Rs 25.
If this trains are run in these diverted routes permanently with stoppages in Aruppukkottai, Manamadurai and Thiruppuvanam ,then additional 71 km run charges may be imposed to the passengers
