2. If there is scarcity of space and only one language can be displayed regional language , hindi should be preferred.
3. All local/passenger trains should have source - dest. in regional language.
4. Some space at borders for creative art of that operating zone region like madhubani painting in vaishali, temple sculptures in madurai ( subject to space available)

It is definitely a good idea. But I think as long as the boards on each coach are properly labelled, the main Train board on the coaches at either of the rake can be kept in whichever way the zone feels. I think the main train board ( not the one on individual coaches) should be just reserved for the train's name/number. If the train has any popular name, then it can be shown on the main TB. Most people rarely bother to see the main train board as they will be placed at either end of the rake. The individual coach boards are all they rely on. If those are maintained properly, that should be enough.

the Tamil Nadu express, is a popular train that is very well known all along it's route. So, it is a good thing to have a very descriptive Train board, but for this train, even a simple board saying 'Tamil Nadu express' is sufficient for every one to recognize the train. It doesn't do any harm, and can also help some of the regular passengers on the route to identify their train easily enough.
But yes, for passenger trains with long, complicated RSA's, at least the individual coaches need to have electronic display boards so that people understand which train it is exactly. Sadly, most people never bother to listen to the announcements ( if there are any) and get confused with the complicated train boards.

Though main TB is seen by less no.of people, still it is very much important. In fact, it is the identity of a train and differentiates between a king or a queen/ a rajdhani or a duronto and thus all details should be there in it.Conventional TB are not that much expansive or budget demanding so that railways need large fund for it.Board on each coach as well as TB both need to be properly updated.This poll is for both.

Keep voting guys.Aisa koi difficult question nahi hai. Isme itna sochna ka kya hai ? 500 -1000 rs me ek TB paint ho jati hai radium se. Crores ke income me chalne wali trains ke liye itna to karna banta hai.
