(1) Rajdhani, Shatabdi & Durontos are tainted with flexifares and as long as this stain persisits they shall never be the most successful.
(2) Garib Raths shall shall always be favourite as they facilitate most economical ac travel.
(3) Tejas, Gatimaan being super premium trains cannot find much prominence. They can have very limited existence and their success/ patronage is always doubtful.
(4) Humsafar...
more... may be successful if not kept in ambit of Flexifares even with 20% extra base fare, provided they are accorded high priority/speed like Rajdhanis.
(5) SF trains have a very bright future and shall be carrying maximum number of paxs on IR. They are likely to have very high patronage, Maximum number of coaches and with profitability for IR. After conversion to LHB in a decade or so, their importance/ utility shall be further enhanced.
(6) AC SF trains are an epitome of poor financial decision making of IR. It is expected that IR will grow wise in near future and desist from announcing new AC SFs. All the ACSFs must be converted into SF train by removing generator cars and attaching non ac trains to ensure maximum paxs, occupancy & revenue.
(7) Nothing can be said about Antyoday with certainity. If fare is same as other trains, then it is yet another financial blunder of IR. And if fare is higher for the additional facilities (Pax amenities, speed), then it is OK.
