The Lumding - Silchar Sec is one of the most dangerous & Irregular section of IR , Specially the 67 Km from DJA/Daotuhaja (Elevation: 385 m) to DCA/Damchara (Elevation: 44 m) . I thought from many days if we made a tunnel under Borail Range , the problem can be solved also There we be a alternative route for Tripura , Manipur , Mizoram & South Assam . A " 17 KM Tunnel " can change the entire scenario . The 47 km New Line including 17 km Tunnel between Daotuhaja & Boro Arkap ( Elevation around 200 m , at the end point of tunnel ) will not only a solution of uncertain portion , also it decrease the distance between Guwati & Silchar almost 50 km ( Current Distance - 380 km , Via this route New Silchar ( New Silchar Can be use as a Terminal ) to...
