Indore: Finally, gauge conversion work on Mhow-Khandwa meter gauge line will start from January 1. However, running of trains between Mhow and Sanawad will continue.

more... amibitious Mhow-Khandwa gauge conversion project. This section is hurdle-free so the railway has taken it for broad gauge (BG) conversion project. Another reason of selecting this section is that the NPTP is setting up its thermal plant close to Khargone for which coal will pass through this section. At present six pairs of trains are running between Mhow and Khandwa and they will run till Sanawad after January 1.
