2 compliments
Thanks for accepting my suggestion Nice feature sir.
The modification to the TL Update scheme - i.e. the introduction of the new RAC System - has led to some efficiency with TL Updates. More TLs are being discussed, and quickly moved up. However, we still have on Average, about 300 Waitlisted TLs in the backlog at any time, and our hard-working and diligent TLMs are unable to keep up with the flood of updates. It is really strenuous work to go through and double-check and stamp all the updates.
.
Accordingly, another feature will soon be introduced. We shall soon have the concept of "Station Monitors"

and "Zone Monitors". For example, a member with Nearest Station of New Delhi can be a "New Delhi Station Monitor" and "NR Zone Monitor". Station Monitors and Zone Monitors will be able to post self-Confirmed updates ONLY concerning their OWN Station/Zone without waiting for a TLM to stamp it. For example, an NDLS Station Monitor would be able to post self-Confirmed TL Updates of Station Pics of NDLS, PF#, Trains Starting/Terminating at NDLS, etc - there will be no wait.
.
There is LESS stringent eligibility criteria for appointing Station Monitors & Zone Monitors. They will be appointed after posting - say ONLY 50 Confirmed TLs with a 95% Confirmed/Void ratio - in their OWN Stations & Zones. Before appointing Station & Zone Monitors, EACH case will be individually examined to make sure that the member is actually making meaningful updates and NOT spamming with trivial updates.
.
The reasoning for the new scheme is that updates by members in their own Nearest Station and their own Zone are expected to be HIGHLY Credible. Also, it is observed that most of our members already are more interested in updates only in their own Stations/Zones. So, we can avoid an unnecessary bureaucratic wait. The above is further expected to lessen the load on TLMs and move the queue faster, with less frustration for members as well. TLMs will be able to focus on more interesting and intricate TL Updates, and not have to go through tons of updates.
.
Zone & Station Monitors can be appointed VERY quickly, so there will be less incentive for members to post trivial updates to accumulate Confirmed TLs. To prevent abuse, we shall impose some restrictions as well. Members will never be able to change their Home Station and will not be able to change their Nearest Station more than once every 3 months.
.
This will be done in the next few days. Constructive feedback is welcome.
Thanks.

TLMs will only be Station/Zone Monitors of their OWN stations/zones - this is not for the sake of "updates", but ONLY for purposes of Special Station/Zone Alerts/focusing on Waitlisted/Confirmed TLs in their own region, and to be able to converse with and monitor developments in their own Station/Zone.
.
As for updating TLs, TLMs will continue to be TLMs, and will be able to update/stamp ALL TLs - there are no restrictions.
Thanks.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
