The only intercity train to rayalaseems from Hyderabad city. I traveled by this train on 13 AUG from secunderbad to Kurnool. Traveled in CC along with my friend. Started at secunderabad at 7:33 am to its way to kurnool. This trains has a nice CC coach, plug points working fine. AC effect is almost ok. Even toilets also clean and good. The loco in charge was WDP4. When i booked the train on there are so many seats available but by the time it started all are full. Even general all jam packed. After its start stopped at KCG, in this route this is the slow train. So as expected it has so many stops. But for my surprise it stopped almost in every station. Very slow to its way to Kurnool. Astadhasa shakthi peets of india. I reached the nearest station Kurnool which is 30 km way. But actually there is halt for this express and passengers trains at a station called "Jogumamba halt" it has no platform so i am not able to recognize it, even it has no station code, IR has no information about it. But i have seen the board while i am going to Temple. I will post the pics and timings of that station.
Its difficult to get any to eat in this train so its better people arrange their food if they want to take this train. Even water bottles also hard to get. I took same train in return on aug 14 from kurnool. This time also CC only. But this time coach was very very old. Worst one. Hauled by WDP4, this time to SC its blasted it reaches 7:15 pm at Malakpet. As i have some work i got down there to go my home.
But it was a real nice trip. But i feel for a intercity it should much faster. I will post the pics of temple and the river Tungabadra.

So, it was hauled by WDP-4 as we seen earlier. Admins Please update the loco to WDP-4. As seen so many times. The loco was upgraded to WDM to WDP-4 :)

Now finally the Jogulamaba halt going to be a station. SCR finally invited tenders for new plat form and starting amenities worth of 27 lakhs. This will be very much useful to reach one of the Sakthipet " Alampur".

Nice report venkat,
Really in all the general coaches of ICE journey became horrible.
The only way to have a comfortable journies in ICE is through CC only.
And there is a need of SF ICE to rayalaseema region in the coming budget...
Offcource it was proposed in this budget,even SC - RC via vikarabad will also be a good proposal.
