Big Day for Bihar, we got 2 new Mega Bridges today. 4.3 Km long Ara-Chapra 4 Lane Cable stayed Road Bridge and 4.5 km long Road Deck of Sonepur-Digha Rail Cum Road bridge. These bridges will enhance the connectivity between North and South Bihar and will facilitate the path of economic development for North Bihar. Prior to the opening of Ara-Chpara bridge, the distance between these two cities was 120 kms which has now been reduced to 20 kms only. From this you can imagine the importance of this bridge. Opening of Road deck of Sonepur-Digha bridge was also much awaited as it will provide some relief from the deadly traffic Jams of Mahatma Gandhi setu. After it's opening, we got an alternative of Mahatma Gandhi Setu which was till now the life line between North and South Bihar. Soon Gandhi setu would be dismantled and a new mega-structure will come-up...

High Expectations were there before the inauguration of Rail Deck of Sonepur-Digha Bridge but ECR and Railway Authorities have brutally decimated that so these Road bridges are somewhat a consultation prize for the people of Bihar especially for the people of North Bihar.
