Dear Friends,
I am writing to share my recent travel experience.
I stay in Mumbai and I planned to go to Nanded to meet my sister.
We (me and my wife) had booked two tickets of 2AC of Devagiri Express 17057.
We...
more... boarded the train on 31 August 2011 from Thane Station. When we sat on our seat (PNR No 8158957007), we were surprised to see cockroaches. We were so appalled. We thought that it must have been a stray case.
Our return journey was again by 2AC coach of Devagiri Express 17058 (PNR No 1351898190) . We boarded the train from Nanded Station and we were shocked to see Cockroaches creeping around. It was so disgusting. Add to that we had got the seat near emergency window and the water was seeping in through the emergency window. We told he TC to change our seats but he said that there are no seats available. We even told the attendant to about the cockroaches and the water seepage. All he did was looked at us and then went away.
It was so disgusting to travel through that compartment of 2AC of devagiri express. I wonder if the coaches are cleaned before every journey. There were so many cockroaches, initially i tried taking snaps of them with my mobile, but then was tired of it as there were many. And they were all over the curtains, seats, wooden panel etc.
It was really disgusting. It was so humiliating for us to travel through such conditions.
I have just one question. Why don't these railway authorities do their job. Keeping the coaches clean is basic job.
I hope they clean it to prevent other travelers experiencing such horrendous experience.
Regards,
Amit
