Hi,
I have booked eticket with RAC status from mughalsarai to Secunderabad. Now I have to board train from Satna , which have Waiting List going on.
I know I can approach any PRS counter and ask them to change the boarding from current mughalsarai to new station Satna.
Now my question is will I still be in RAC quota of mughalsarai(even after change of boarding to Satna) or will I have Satna quota which is Waiting (not RAC).

sir the status of your ticket will remain in RAC only and you can go to the station and hence change the boarding point to Satna

When you change the boarding station at any PRS, the PNR does not change. Therefore, you can safely assume that your RAC position will reverse and change to WL

sir there is no rule that if your ticket is RAC then you cannot change the boarding point the boarding can be changed in any status

Boarding point can be changed irrespective of the status of the ticket - WL or RAC. Recently, the counter clerk informed that boarding point cannot be changed for WL ticket. But, my man met the Reservation Supervisor and requested him to give it in writing. Then the boarding point was changed. It was a boarding point change from mas to ajj by Cheran Express. I have already posted the details in one of my earlier posts about 10 days back.
