Hi,
Any one observed a small stations named with HALT at the end.
Eg. Kodigehalli Halt(KDGH), Jnanabarathi halt(GNB).
On my side i would like to say station which is similar to above station have single line(Main Line, No loop lines), Where very few passenger trains halts their for a minute or so. There will not be any station In charge or...

I heard that a religious trust has taken over/donated for expansion of the station. and as per agreement with KR the name was changed from Byndoor to Byndoor Mookambika Road. A KR Karwar employee told me
Yes, Byndoor is the nearest station for KOLLUR MOOKAMBIKA TEMPLE(Apprx 13KM).
Reason to change is "For the Pilgrims coming from other parts May easily identify the Same if changed to BYNDOOR MOOKAMBIKA ROAD and changed to BYNDOOR MOOKAMBIKA ROAD.
One more example for same is SUBRAHMANYA ROAD(SBHR), But place is around odd Km away from Temple and Place name is NETTANA.

ya ur right many superfast train stop at Byndoor Mookambika Road,during navratri festival netravati was given halt?also at madure during ganesh chaturti many special trains were given stops.
