IRI Calculation is absolutely logical. We are calculating running average so we have to consider the running time.
Then the Distance is different for all trains. Distance between New Delhi and Patna is different from the Distance between New Delhi and Howrah or Mumbai Jaipur or Mumbai Delhi or Delhi Bhopal.
So we have to derive a formula that does justice with these 2 variables.
When we talk about average then it is understood that the object is moving not standing. So IRI Calculation is scientific.

If you have GPS Device then travel and compare SKr with Poorva and Jaipur Super. Due to its non stop nature I doubt if it even touches the speed of 100.
