I was thinking of a new LHB AC Duronto Train from Guwahati to New Delhi which can run on Tri - Weekly Basis. It can have the following TECHNICAL Halts :-
Kanpur Cantral, Mughalsarai, Patna Jn, Barauni and New Jalpaiguri.

Please give your comments and opinions without scolding me :-)

ghy-ndls & ghy-hwh/sdah/koaa needs duronto. atleast i would suggest non ac lhb duronto for ghy-ndls(since we have a rajdhani already running) bi-weekly would be a good option and an AC duronto(LHB/ICF) between ghy-hwh/sdah/koaa (Bi-weekly) sharing the same time slot as garib rath. what say ??

Kindly get over from guess work or fantasy plz!!
Then y Exp @ Sahibganj section arnt running over 46 AVG??? Who stopped them increasing MPS to maximize AVG?? or Are they awaiting Rajdhani introduction??? Brahmputra Mail too manage 46 KMPH in this section!!??
While the BJU-KIR-SPJ is running over 55 KMPH even for Exp!!
Yes, if Raj run, then its MPS will again get increased!! But is Raj running as of now?? Announcement done but didnt imposed cant be taken as MPS for the track.
Get away from definition & fantasy. Kindly discuss reality!!

I have drawn the following conclusions from this thread :-
------------------
GHY-NDLS Fully AC Duronto Exp Idea rejected by many.
GHY-NDLS Partially AC Duronto Exp Idea accepted by some.
GHY-NDLS AC SF Exp via Kanpur-Patna Idea accepted by many.
GHY-NDLS AC SF Exp via Lucknow-Chapra Idea rejected my many.
------------------
PS : So an LHB AC SF Train with limited number of Commercial Stoppages via the Kanpur-Patna-Barauni-New Jalpaiguri Route is essential for connecting Guwahati with New Delhi. It's so as such a train may do well than

other trains of this route and it should be launched after the Track Doubling of Barauni-Guwahati Section. Thanks everyone for this Hot n Healthy Debate. It can now be Archived if there are no further suggestions to this idea given by me :-)

Try for Non LHB coaches so be accepted by many more.
P.S: You conclusion arrangement is done like a Politician (Ministers) who changes BILLS in the Assembly to get approved.

One point I want to re-iterate:
Even Purvottar SK does not skip Katihar, although it coolly skips Patna and Barauni.
Rest, all the Best...!

Actually, I had forgot about mentioning Katihar Jn, it was not deliberate. This stoppage can replace Kisanganj as it's a Bigger Station for such a train :-)

I had put forward such a conclusion arrangement because there were many arguments & counter arguments stating various alternatives, clubbed in one thread. I had just channelized these views in general to give some clarity.
------------------
PS : I have proposed for LHB AC Coaches as it would run faster at least between New Delhi and Mughalsarai + I don't support Non-AC Coaches in such a train so that Chain Pulling & entry of unauthorized people between Mughalsarai and New Jalpaiguri can be kept to the minimum :-)
