this train leaves combined with dhauli express from howrah at 6am,and gets separated at kharagpur,right?but it comes separately.so from where does that extra loco comes at kharagpur every day that pulls rupshi?as per a layman,a loco will decrease everyday from kharagpur by this speed?is there any other train that comes combined upto kharagpur and separates at kharagpur,if not then from where does that "loco"for rupashi come?

alag alag to nai ho sakta...kyuki...6am pe rupasi+dhauli,6.20 pe barbil jan shatabdi,6.40 pe tamralipta,6.55 pe ispat,phir falaknuma,duronto,etc,etc...subah jam packed hai...6am se pehle hwh pahuchna tough hai...so its fine to run together but my question was different!!

howrah to panskura is triple line,panskura to kharagpur is double line,undergoing tripling right now...and please dont forget different emu that are lifeline of various short distance passengers that leave early in the morning at similar timings too from hwh to kgp/mdn/etc...so a bit tough,though not impossible
