What will be the real availability incase for HWH - DGHA portion if all the 8 berths are booked from NJP- DGHA Jan 22 2012 (6:58PM) ↑⇑ ↓⇓ ←→ Sabyasachi** 7205 blog posts 76953 correct pred (65% accurate) ![]() Re# 333281-12 Past Edits This is a new feature showing the full history of past edits to this Blog Post. All members will now be able to Edit and refine their past and future Blog Posts with NO time limit. But this will be Cheating. See the case for this train departing on 23-03-2012 from NJP. NJP-DGHA & NJP-HWH =AVL 1(GN Quota) But HWH - DGHA still says AVL=6 which is impossible as per the calculation. Out of 8 allotted, 7 are already booked in GN Quota from NJp - DGHA/HWH. Then How come they can give 6 berths from HWH - DGHA???? CHK my comment on 333281-12 or status on 23-03-2012 from NJP and also from hwh on 24-03-2012. I think the trick is somewhere else. Because out the 7 berths booked from NJP, 6 are booked till howrah (one to DGHA) therefore Six are available from Howrah to DGHA (the computer automatically says available for sectors that are vacant) Jan 22 2012 (7:16PM) ↑⇑ ↓⇓ ←→ Sabyasachi** 7205 blog posts 76953 correct pred (65% accurate) ![]() Re# 333281-16 Past Edits This is a new feature showing the full history of past edits to this Blog Post. And if a HWH-DGHA gets cancelled, it will get confirmed. IMHO this whole sector is GNWL. But you may know better Jan 22 2012 (7:23PM) ↑⇑ ↓⇓ ←→ S K Jain*^ 4545 blog posts 2858 correct pred (83% accurate) ![]() Re# 333281-18 Past Edits This is a new feature showing the full history of past edits to this Blog Post. But my experience does not substantiate this as the Quota is single and the same has been occupied, may be for a part of the sector. In such cases, so far I have seen WL to be introduced and on charting, confirmation for the remaining sector. NJP-DGHA=GN NJP-HWH=PQ HWH-DGHA=RL Sudhir's Explanation holds good as i have checked the availability for all three sectors for othe days also. All members will now be able to Edit and refine their past and future Blog Posts with NO time limit. in this case, the availability situations indicates that there is overlap across gn, pq and rl. IMHO it never happens ie. if booked till dgha it becomes Gn, if the same berth is booked till HWH, it becomes a PQ allocation AND if the same berth is booked from HWH to DGHA then it becomes RL. In this case, I still feel everything is first come first served - GN...Anyway, we are discussing academics, we know the practical situation is.....Thanks Sayasachi for an interesting quiz |
