no sir ,u see all the thing before but frm new ''no refund rule for cnf tatkal '' its very less to see any ck wl getting cnf , nd ck didnt get evn one seat frm tat 15 seats ,, ck only get perortiy whn extra coach attached

yes arif sir,this baffles me...why do cancellations in ck occur at all...i mean,had i been the passenger and i am ignorant about new tatkal rules...i have a tatkal prs ticket...now if i want to cancel it...i take the pains to reach prs...and the clerk says no money will be refunded...i will still take back the ticket and not cancel it...why to cancel if no refund...but still you cant deny the fact that cancellations do occur,amongst the ones having confirmed berth,even now in ck quota...god knows why!!

this is partially true...the word "only"is the only mistake in your understanding i suppose...tatkal berths are ofcourse confirmed by cancellations done in tatkal quota...but not all the unused berths are given to gnwl...some of the unused berths are also used to clear ckwl...that's why i used the word "proportionately"...had it been all gnwl and none ckwl...even wl1 would strive hard to get cnf...but in practice ckwl in single digits generally confirm easily even after new rules

pata nahi arif bhai...ye train to train,zone to zone differ karta hai...the maximum single digit ckwl were of ac classes,so its a bit difficult...but there was a ckwl in sleeper class in single digit too that must be confirmed as per my above statement...so,let me say,its not easy to predict gnwl1 will be cleared first or ckwl1...no fixed rules and neither does railway tell anything openly about it...its all behind the curtains...

sir but gnwl wl1 will 99% cnf , if u search in pnr its very hard to find 1-5gnwl remain wl ,, but thr are many ckwl1 which remain wl after Chart PREPARED

this is because there are much more seats in general quota than ck...hence greater cancellations...also reservations and cancellations of gnwl begins 90 days in advance as opposed to ckwl...and also the above single digits waiting list remaining waiting list may also be due to the exhaustion of all unused quotas like ho,ss,etc...so no more vacant berths during charting...ckwl1 remains ckwl1!!
